For a more sophisticated Halloween decor stick with black, white and sparkle palette. Avoid orange but if you want a splash of color try (citrus) green or (eggplant) purple. Play with height and repetition. The Z Gallery has amazing Halloween's decor and check Martha's for inspiration. So far my favorite are the snake wreath and the glittered skulls.
